The 4th Annual Armchair Comedy Festival 2016

The 4th Annual Armchair Comedy Festival, in association with Fruit of the Loom, showcases performances by top, local comedians from 1 December-11 December 2016 at the Arm Chair Theater in Observatory, Cape Town.

Over 20 comedians will perform 14 shows during the 11 day festival. The comedians include: Riaad Moosa, Nik Rabinowitz, Conrad Koch, Stuart Taylor, KG Mokgadi, Yaaseen Barnes, Dalin Oliver, Dylan Skews, Rob Van Vuuren and many more.

Watch out for ‘Comedy Ketchup’

Performances begin at 8.30pm every evening with an additional afternoon show on Saturday 3, 10 and Sunday 11 December. Saturday 3 December is reserved for ‘Comedy Ketchup,’ an open mic competition which sees the audience express their thoughts by throwing tomatoes at the comedians.

“This event has been running successfully since 2013 and it showcases the best of the Armchair for that particular year, consisting of comedians who have performed on a regular basis. This year we welcome the world’s oldest clothing brand Fruit of the Loom as a partner, whose quirky campaigns and adverts resonate well with the comedy scene,” comments Gino Fernandez, festival organiser and comedian.
