Call to entries for Chartered Society of Designers Student Awards 2007

The Chartered Society of Designers has launched the CSD Student Awards 2007, an international design competition with prize money of £7000. Entries are welcome from students in any of the following design disciplines: exhibition design, fashion design, graphic design, interactive media design, interior design, product design, and textile design.

Entries will be accepted from any second year student studying on any full-time design course anywhere in the world. Students studying in year three of a four-year design course are also eligible to enter.

Entrants' work will be judged by a panel and free CSD student membership will be awarded to those entrants whose work displays talent and design capability.

The judges will make a further selection of those who should receive a Commendation and also award CSD-approved work placements to promising students.

An overall winner is selected in each of the seven design disciplines, who will receive the CSD Student Medal and a cheque for £1000. In addition, the seven winners' courses are presented with a wall plaque to acknowledge the student's award.

The entry may be any project, which must be accompanied by a written report. The Society has also prepared a range of briefs covering the main design disciplines.
The briefs have been prepared by designers and clients working within the design sector and can be found in the Brief Bank on the CSD website.

All entries must be received at CSD's London offices on or before Tuesday 1 May 2007.
