Free entrance to Kirstenbosch on 1 July

The newest addition is the Tree Canopy Walkway affectionately known as the "boomslang". Experience a magical part of the garden as you traverse the treetops of the Enchanted Forest and discover the beauty of the Aboretum. If photography is a passion, the walkway offers a new perspective of the garden - so shoot some frames and enter a picture in the Botanical Society Photography competition. Activities planned for the children as part of the Winter Wonders programme will keep them occupied while the rest of the family wander the garden paths. You can browse the Kirstenbosch Gift shop and BotSoc bookshop and look out for special birthday offers.

Join the volunteer Botanical Society guides on any one of the scheduled walks: 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday, and 10am on Saturday and discover the most beautiful garden in Africa. After all the exercise a stop at Moyo Restaurant Kirstenbosch, the newly renovated Kirstenbosch Tea Room or Vida e Caffe will refuel your energy.
