The India Road Show is attended by over 1,000 outbound Indian tour operators, and the show examines product and specialist markets. South African Tourism's multi-city road show will visit Kolkata on 20 January, New Delhi on the 21 January, Chennai on the 22 January and Mumbai on 23 January 2014.

CEO of Cape Town Tourism, Enver Duminy, says: "India is among South Africa's top ten tourism source markets. Indian travellers often prefer to travel during Cape Town's low season; this is an attractive market for Cape Town. The India Road Show provides the perfect platform for Indian travel operators to expand on their knowledge and understanding of Cape Town's offerings."

In addition to building awareness about what Cape Town has to offer travelers, Cape Town Tourism will conduct workshops with Indian trade professionals in order to equip them to promote Cape Town as a tourism destination and identify future collaboration opportunities to direct visitors to the city.

Duminy concludes: "The India Road Show will also give us an opportunity to gain market insights specific to the Indian outbound market that we can bring home to share with the tourism industry, and that will allow us to better prepare for servicing this market in the future."

Cape Town Tourism will be sharing insights from the India Road Show on their Twitter account (@CapeTownTourism) during the four days.
