Iziko Planetarium hosts SkySkanSkySkan, digital planetarium technology company, will be hosted by the Iziko Planetarium from 3-11 September 2011. The Iziko Planetarium and SkySkan will offer audiences the opportunity to experience fully immersive full-dome planetarium presentations. Multiple-projector video projections blend together animations, images and composite environments to create a full-dome image that completely covers the hemispherical projection surface. Show timesThe kids show feature Tycho, a dog who wants to go to the moon and his young friends, Ruby and Michael. Kids will learn about night and day, space travel, phases of the Moon, and features of the lunar surface. Take a close-up look at the Sun, see Tycho play in zero gravity, witness Earth from space, and watch meteors shoot across the night sky. Tycho and the Moon for children aged 5 - 10.
