Giant slide comes to Sandton

Slide Jozi is a family day on Saturday, 17 October, 2015, for both adults and kids of six years of age and older that gives a 300-metre slide down West Street, Sandton with the city's concrete landscape as the setting for the ride. The Slide will start at the top of West Street heading towards Rivonia road and come to an end by safely stopping in a pool of water.

"We wanted to create something unique, something where adults could act like kids again and somewhere where kids could spend time with their parents. This event is a full day out for the whole family. All you need is a costume, towel, camera and a smile," commented organiser and Marketing Director of Spiced Productions, Danny Figueiredo.

Sliding times will be broken down into four slots allowing people to the pick the time slot they would like. Tickets will also be on sale for unlimited slides throughout the day and there will be spectator tickets on sale for the few who prefer not to brave the slide.

Slide Jozi has made sure everyone is looked after and will also host an entertainment section with live music, a beer garden (over-18s only) and a food court.

Pricing:

• Early-bird: R125 per person (1000 tickets only) - on sale now
• Phase 1: R195 per person (2000 tickets only)
• Final phase : R255 per person (1000 tickets only)
• Group Ticket (f or more): R175 per person
• Junior (five to 12 years of age): R125 per person
• Unlimited slides: R349 per person (500 tickets only)
• Spectator: R149 per person (1000 tickets only)

Slide time slots:

• Slot A: 10am to 12pm
• Slot B: 12pm to 2pm
• Slot C: 2pm to 4pm
• Slot D: 4pm to 6pm

(Please note that your ticket allows you two slides for your allocated time slot. If you miss your time slot, no refunds will be given and you will forfeit your place. It also allows you to enter the food court, beer garden (over 18s only) and main entertainment area)

Bring towels, costumes, hats, sunscreen and a smile.
Don't bring food, drinks, cooler boxers, umbrellas, water pistols (these will not be allowed in).
This event is strictly for persons over five years of age, as safety is our main concern.
