The Department of Health on Wednesday, 8 July 2015, said this follows a pledge which was signed by the department and the South African Business Coalition on Health and Aids (SABCOHA) in November 2014.

The department said Minister Motsoaledi, in partnership with SABCOHA, will on Thursday take the fight against HIV, AIDS and TB to eMbalenhle, near Secunda, in Mpumalanga, as part of the private sector response to the partnership pledge.

"Government and the business community in the Gert Sibande district will activate a series of HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) sites in eMbalenhle, to encourage members of the community to screen for TB and test for HIV and other medical conditions on site for free.

"During the campaign, SABCOHA will formally provide the Minister of Health with a report detailing progress made by the business community in the fight against HIV & Aids and TB in the district since the signing of the pledge to date," the department said.
