New work in at an on-demand delivery and digital tech shop in SA, owned by one of our major retail groups. The current need is for a DevOps engineer with key capabilities in deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet customers’ needs.

You will work with a top team of developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.

This is what you need to grab their attention:

• At least five years of experience as a DevOps engineer, and a further five years in an SRE role or a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in development, testing, and automation tools.
• Skilled in GitHub, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure (Azure or AWS).
• Strong process management skills, with the ability to define, set up, and optimise development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Some technical knowledge of the C# .NET stack would be advantageous.
• A team player with strong team spirit and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to offer direction and say no when needed.
• SLA management skills, including the ability to monitor and measure specific performance metrics to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Qualification:

• Tertiary IT qualification.
• Certified Azure Developer certification (preferable).
• Certified Microsoft DevOps certification.
