Our design and marketing agency is looking for a dynamic accounts and admin person to manage our booking and tax functions.

Our accounts are all set up and up to date, as we have been using an external consultant for a number of years, but they are now closing. We would like to bring the accounting function in-house.

This position will be full-time in our studio, working closely with the team to ensure the smooth running of the studio. We are a design, development, and marketing studio based in Bedfordview.

We need someone who can fully manage the accounting functions and billing. As a service company, our billing is based on effective project management and time efficiency.

An ideal candidate would be someone who has worked in a marketing or digital agency before, as you will already understand our business. A professional approach, good work ethic, and sense of humour will be beneficial.

Duties will include:

Creditors

• Invoicing, statements, reconciliations, and quoting.
• All our accounting is done in Xero.

Debtors

• Working with our suppliers, obtaining quotes, and managing costs.

Taxes

• PAYE, VAT, income tax, and filing submissions.

Salaries and payroll

• Managing monthly payroll, PAYE, attendance, and leave.
• All our payroll is done in SimplePay and is set up and documented.

Project management

• Involvement in project management as an extension of the invoicing function to ensure effective billing and time allocation.

Digital marketing knowledge

• A good understanding of digital marketing, Google AdWords, Facebook advertising, and social media. Knowledge in these areas is essential for accurate quoting and invoicing.

Client service

• You will work alongside our existing client service person, who works mornings only, to keep clients up to date on projects. This also involves answering the office phone and handling email and client communication.

Office duties

• Ordering staff consumables, stationery, coffee, tea, etc.

Deliveries and logistics

• Managing collections and deliveries from time to time.
