Accountant - Johannesburg North, Gauteng

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong audit background and proven experience managing multiple sets of books.

This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle the complexity of multi-company financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the financial records for multiple companies.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and tax requirements.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Handle VAT returns, payroll processing, and other statutory reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of accounting experience.
• Strong audit background (must have worked in an audit firm).
• Proven experience managing multiple sets of books.
• Accounting till Balance Sheet
• Excel intermediate
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
