Our client is looking for an Accountant to join their team. This skilled position is ideal for candidates who enjoy accounting and customer service. 

Responsibilities: 

• Books till Trial Balance;
• Processing on Sage Pastel Partner, Sage & Xero (Cashbook, Journals, etc.)
• VAT processing and Submission of VAT Returns;
• Handling client and SARS queries;
• Calculation of Income Tax;
• Submission of Income Tax Returns;
• Calculation and Submission of Provisional Tax Returns

Requirements: 

• Minimum 3 years’ accountancy experience (preferably at an accounting firm)
• Matriculation with an accounting qualification (or studying towards this)
• Experience with different accounting packages – Draftworx (a must), Caseware, Pastel and Xero (very important) and QuickBooks
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt accordingly
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Great time management and self-discipline
• An excellent planning and forecasting mindset
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans would be helpful
