This is an outstanding opportunity for seasoned PR Professional to join a leading Internationally-affiliated PR Agency - initially on a short-term contract for the duration of 2024, with the view to a permanent appointment in 2025.

The role:

As Group Account Director, with a solid understanding of consumer PR and influence strategy, you will ensure that the team you lead are always aligned with strategic objectives whilst managing both large, multi-market campaigns and a portfolio of varying-size accounts.

Your experience will include directing teams to deliver award-winning work and establishing clear operational processes that drive growth and meet performance targets.

As a proven leader and role model, you will guide the team members while collaborating instinctively with partners across all communications channels.

Requirements:

• Hold a tertiary qualification in PR, Communications or similar
• Have a passion for influencer marketing with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field
• Previous PR Agency experience is essential working on a Consumer portfolio of clients, of which a minimum of 3 years at a Senior Level
• Be a strong dynamic leader and motivator, with a proven track record of successfully managing teams
• Good analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically and creatively
• A confident, optimistic individual, who operates effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• A keen interest in all things social, PR, digital and an avid follower of relevant news and trends
• Self-motivated, action-oriented and ambitious with a positive "can-do" attitude

Important consideration:

1)  During the initial Contract period, the role of the GAD is based full-time at the offices of the Agency based in Cape Town.

2)  To operate effectively as the Group Account Director, a key responsibility will be to acquire a first-hand knowledge of both the portfolio of Clients - as well as the team reporting to you.

3)  As such, working remotely wil not be considered an option.


Scope of the GAD role:

This interim role should not be considered as merely a stop-gap appointment - rather the beginning of a potential longer-term working relationship.
