About the position: 

Our client, a global consumer health company, based in Cape Town, is currently recruiting a Brand Manager for their multiple consumer health products. With a focus on digital and social, you will play a critical role in driving brand awareness, engagement, and sales through innovative digital and social media marketing strategies.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our consumer health products across various sales channels, including digital and social media platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, digital marketing, social media management, and creative services to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales. You will be responsible for creating and implementing digital and social media campaigns, analyzing campaign performance, and optimizing strategies to meet business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer health products, digital marketing, and social media trends, as well as excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities: 

Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the company’s consumer health products, including creating campaign briefs, developing creative assets, and managing media budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, digital marketing, social media management, and creative services to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Create and manage digital and social media content calendars, including planning, scheduling, and publishing content across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
  • Monitor and analyze digital and social media campaign performance using analytics tools and provide insights and recommendations for optimization to achieve business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing and social media trends, best practices, and industry standards to identify new opportunities for brand growth and engagement.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure timely and effective execution of digital and social media initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and respond to consumer inquiries, comments, and reviews on digital and social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and provide input on product positioning, messaging, and branding efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to stakeholders, summarizing campaign performance, insights, and recommendations.


Requirements

Skills and qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field. MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in brand management, digital marketing, or social media management, preferably in the consumer health industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative and engaging digital and social media campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools, social media management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the consumer health industry is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the digital marketing and social media landscape and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for consumer health and wellness, and a keen understanding of consumer behavior and preferences.
