Shona Bagley was the launch editor of Elle magazine in South Africa. She has worked on many magazines, including as Deputy Editor on Cosmopolitan and Sawubona. She was the Group Editor at Highbury Safika Media, responsible for more than 20 publications.
In 1990 she was awarded a World Press Institute fellowship to the USA. She was elected valedictorian of that year's fellowship, which consisted of nine journalists from nine different countries. She was shortlisted for the Nieman Fellowship to Harvard.
Shona was also the co-presenter/lexicographer on the television series "A Word or 2".
She is currently working as a freelance writer and editor.
