To use the platform, a DStv subscriber logs onto the ZAP facility on the phone menu and looks for the money link. Then, one needs to type the word 'DStv' and enter the amount of money they wish to transfer to Multichoice Malawi.

Zain customers will not be charged any fees for transacting with ZAP Khusa M'manja when paying for DStv services.

Sipula said the new joint service would offer convenience and greater flexibility for joint customers of the two companies ahead of the 11 June 2010 FIFA World Cup kick-off in South Africa.

“Since everyone will be itching to watch the World Cup in South Africa, we have decided to make it easier for our customers to renew their monthly subscriptions as well as new payments to Multichoice by introducing this flexible method. We expect that this will reduce queues at Multichoice offices while offering our customers the chance to save time and money,” said Sipula.
