Clover, MiX Telematics awards Dorah Semenya with funding

Clover has awarded Dorah Semenya of the Shalate Drop-in Centre in Seshego, Limpopo with the 2018 funding for a valued site improvement as well as bread baking training. This forms part of the Clover Mama Afrika Madiba Week, which Clover is running with fleet and mobile asset management solutions company MiX Telematics.

Semenya's carport, which used to be uncovered, is now fully enclosed with a retaining wall, windows, the main door, as well as secured with burglar bars. The renovation is a result of a sponsorship she received for winning the MiX Telematics Madiba Week award at Clover Mama Afrika's Smarties Week in Mossel Bay earlier this year. She was awarded for the work that she does in her community, which includes opening the Shalate Drop-in Centre in May 2006 as a result of the HIV and AIDS endemic that had left many children orphaned and vulnerable. Her centre currently provides a safe environment which feeds and cares for more than 120 children on a daily basis.
