"Once again Adobe has found a way to make life convenient for its customers. People find paperwork to be a nuisance and often we see that document processes are handled inefficiently. Documents are the last bastion of digital transformation and Adobe is changing that," remarks Jeremy Matthews, CEO of Adobe Distributor; Dax Data. "Adobe Document Cloud will revolutionise and simplify how people get work done with critical documents."

Adobe Document Cloud consists of a set of integrated services that use a consistent online profile and personal document hub. At the heart of Document Cloud is Adobe Acrobat DC. With Acrobat DC, Adobe is taking the world's best PDF solution to an entirely new level. The intuitive, touch-enabled interface, allows Acrobat DC to deliver powerful new functionality to get work done anywhere. The new Tool Centre offers simplified and quick access to the tools consumers use most and Acrobat DC can use Photoshop magic to convert any paper document into a digital, editable file that can be sent for signature and more.

eSign Services (formerly known as Adobe EchoSign) will be included with every subscription of Acrobat DC Standard and Pro, which is part of both Document Cloud and Adobe Creative Cloud. Users can electronically send and sign any document from any device

New mobile apps

Adobe Acrobat is the preferred solution for PDFs, which together with Acrobat Reader is used on over a billion phones, tablets and desktops worldwide. With two new free mobile apps, Acrobat Mobile and Fill & Sign - Adobe continues to change how users interact with mobile. Users can create, edit, comment and sign documents directly on their mobile devices. Mobile users can use the camera on their device as a portable scanner to easily convert any paper documents to digital, editable files that can be sent for signature; such as a school permission slip or patient intake form.

Services such as Adobe Send & Track allows users to manage, track and control documents. With intelligent tracking, users gain visibility into where critical documents are located, how far along they are in a process, including who has opened them and when. Control features also help to protect sensitive information, both inside and outside the firewall, for business or personal use.

Document Cloud products and services are offered on both a subscription and perpetual basis. Acrobat DC subscribers are able to access many additional features that are not included with the free Acrobat DC mobile version.

Adobe is building an ecosystem for information management that enables workers to collaborate and share documents more effectively and efficiently regardless of their location or device - signing documents on the go, saving paper, time and money.

Dax Data together with Adobe will be hosting a Document Cloud launch event at The Venue in Johannesburg on 15 April 2015. The event is an opportunity to demonstrate how organisations can effectively save time and money while doing their part for the environment.
