African Food Security Urban Network Development workshop

The African Food Security Urban Network (AFSUN) will hold a development workshop, facilitated by Reos Partners, on 3-4 July 2013 at Campbell House in Johannesburg.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together national and local media, advocacy organizations and activists working in the food security field to:

  • reflect on their current realities of food systems in African cities
  • develop systemic insights on the urban food systems it is trying to understand and influence
  • Gain practical facilitation techniques when working in more complex contexts
  • To co-create ways of raising public awareness around urban food security issues in Southern Africa

AFSUN is a network of African and Canadian organizations based at Queen's University and the University of Cape Town. Funded by CIDA, it is dedicated to improving the food security of poor urban populations in Southern African cities.
