On the Dot Christmas Party for Compass home
On the Dot held a Christmas party for the Compass home based in Edenvale which houses 87 abused children.
On the Dot purchased clothing, towels, facecloths, toothpaste, soaps and toothbrushes to the value of R10 000 from Pep Greenstone mall who kindly contributed R500 towards this initiative. On the Dot went to Pep Greenstone who availed us of their store room to pack each gift and then an On the Dot team went to the home, with a Father Christmas in tow, who handed each child their personalised gift.
On the Dot have supported this home for the last six months by sponsoring four children per month at R1 400 per child. The sponsorship takes care of these children in terms of food and clothing. The home cares for approximately 87 babies and children, aged between newborn to 17 years that are from abused, abandoned, terminally ill, and impoverished and previously disadvantaged backgrounds. The money goes to assisting the home to create and provide food security, education, a place of safety, a stimulating, empowering, nurturing and uplifting environment.
