Take to the road with Randall Abrahams

Straight-talking, no-nonsense TV and radio personality Randall Abrahams will share his expert opinion on the topic of 'The Resilience and Dynamic Energy of Radio' in a series of national roadshow presentations to the local media industry sponsored by Heart 104.9FM and Gagasi 99.5FM.
With a wealth of experience in radio, both on-air as a DJ and off-air in a management role, and with his enormous success as a judge on the hit TV show 'SA Idols', Randall will explore the benefits of adopting a new approach to radio in informal information sessions that highlight the most important current developments in radio programming. The roadshow aims to educate media industry professionals - including buyers, strategists and planners - and help them to get their heads around the relevance of radio in today's evolving market.

'It's important for the media industry to understand what the major challenges facing radio are and how this auditory behemoth will survive the natural evolution of electronic media' says Randall, who will aim to provide answers to questions like: 'With the rapid changes and ongoing pressures surrounding the electronic media environment, will radio be in a position to command audiences and advertising income? Or will the world's oldest form of electronic mass communication simply fade away like so many other forms of media already have?'

Each interactive presentation will cover topics related to the new digital landscape and what the implications of it are for radio in South Africa. Roadshow guests will be encouraged to engage with and pose questions to Randall during the sessions, before DJs from Heart 104.9FM and Gagasi 99.5FM start spinning the decks.
