Job description
Key responsibilities- Conduct B-BBEE verification engagements in accordance with SANAS R47-03 and applicable sector codes.
- Collect, review, and analyze client documentation (financials, HR data, procurement, etc.) for scorecard calculation.
- Prepare verification workpapers and ensure compliance with internal and SANAS audit standards.
- Perform on-site and virtual verifications and interviews with clients to confirm data accuracy.
- Draft verification reports and scorecards for review by the Technical Signatory.
- Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the verification process.
- Keep updated on all legislative and technical changes in B-BBEE regulations.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in B-BBEE verification or auditing.
- Experience working within a SANAS-accredited Verification Agency – preferred.
- Strong understanding of B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and relevant Sector Codes.
- Familiarity with B-BBEE software systems (e.g., Scorecard tools, verification systems).
