Durban HOMEMAKERS Expo 2012 roaring success!

The tenth Durban HOMEMAKERS Expo, held from 4-7 October at the Durban Exhibition Centre, was again a roaring success, attracting 16 155 visitors. Visitors were streaming in to get the best deals and the best home products in the area. Our numbers have increased with almost 10% and our exhibitors were extremely happy with their overall show experience and many of them have business leads that will keep them busy for months to come.

My favourite thing about the Durban Expo was that you could find a 'shack' filled with the most beautiful silver and antiques furniture, a Sushi bar, a highly impressive silent auction and radio celebrity, Damon Beard, all under one roof!

The 'What's It Worth' Antique show was hosted by the Durban HOMEMAKERS Expo in conjunction with Thunder Auctioneers and it was an absolutel hit. Visitors were standing in a queue to get their free evaluation by the panel of experts. Some of the exciting pieces evaluated at the expo were an original glass piece of René Lalique, a Volume of 12 books called Thousand Nights and One Night and then of course some old German bibles, coins, porcelain tea sets and many other items.

Congratulations to all our award winning exhibitors. Gold awards went to: Expert Kitchens, Old Mutual, Twiggy Vinyl Wall Art, Hey Jude, Vryheid Country Furniture, NHBRC, Classic Floors, Shower Solutions and Cover Frameless, Stafix, Telkom.
