The Thebe Exhibitions and Events Group has announced that Meetings Africa, the annual business tourism exhibition, will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre from 28 February to 1 March next year.
Group Managing Director Carol Weaving says Meetings Africa is now established as the continent's top business tourism exhibition. "There is already tremendous interest in the 2007 event, with many past exhibitors confirming their participation."
Meetings Africa is a one-stop shop for meeting planners, event organisers and incentive travel professionals. It will be preceded by South Africa's second business tourism conference on Tuesday, 27 February 2007.
Weaving says the exhibition will continue to grow, both in terms of exhibitors - also from the rest of Africa - and delegates. "There will once again be an international hosted buyer programme, made possible through the support of the Department of Trade and Industry."
Meetings Africa will continue to be managed by a tourism industry steering committee consisting of private and public sector partners.
Meetings Africa will be presented in conjunction with the Gauteng Tourism Authority and enjoys support from, amongst others, the Johannesburg Convention Bureau, the Department of Trade and Industry and South African Tourism.
