Zinto enters the music scene with the launch of its own record label

The Zinto Activation Group (ZAG), a brand activations and entertainment company, recently launched its own record label, Zinto Records, which has opened its doors as a subsidiary of the well-established marketing company.
The music production and composition will be overseen by recording artist and DJ Sandile 'Big Dreamz' Lephondo and the day-to-day sales and marketing operations will be managed by Fezi Hlatshwayo, one of the sales and marketing directors
at ZAG.

Zinto Records intends offering a one-stop music, entertainment and marketing shop. The record company will promote this unique approach by offering 360° contracts that include concerts, merchandise, publicity and live shows. The goal is to sign up-and-coming talent to the label and generate exposure for aspiring performers at promotional roadshows and events.

Lephondo comments, "As well as being a booking agency for musicians of all genres, Zinto Records will also double-up as a performance space for emerging artists. The musicians will be in a position to utilise our promotional platforms to engage with their audiences and market themselves."

The entertainers signed to the label will have the opportunity to become branded performers and artists, as well as brand ambassadors for Zinto's extensive portfolio of clients. "This strategy will eliminate the middle-man and increase the musicians' earnings as they will have direct access to their audiences and be able sell their music directly to the market," Hlatshwayo says.

The performers will be supported by ZAG, which will supply the sound, staging, lighting, gig-rigs, back-up dancers and/or singers needed for their breakthrough performances and on-going promotional live shows.
