A popular fundraising event on the SPCA’s calendar, proceedings will kick off at 9.30am at the J&B Driving Range in Vanderbijlpark where bikers en masse will congregate and commute to Magic’s Tavern (corner Zea Avenue and Old Johannesburg Road) in Vereeniging for pub lunch and live entertainment.
Established brand activation agency, Zinto Marketing Group (Zinto), has come on board to sponsor the sound, staging and lighting for performing artists Leon Shaw, Piet Pompies, Anton Myburgh and Clint & Co. It will be Zinto’s greatest charity showcase to date and it hopes that a quality production will add to the festivities and open people’s hearts and purses to raise funds for animals in need.
“This is an ideal opportunity for participants to be an agent of positive within the broader community and make an attainable and valuable contribution to a great cause. There’s always a need for funding as the centre cares for up to 300 stray, abandoned, rescued and unwanted cats and dogs and is reliant on donations to stay afloat,” says Michelle Combrinck CEO and founder of Zinto.
Combrinck is an avid animal lover and proud supporter of the SPCA and will be attending alongside her colleagues. In addition, Zinto will continue to contribute funds to the animal rescue and shelter alongside a variety of cat and dog food, warm blankets and pet-friendly toys throughout the year.
“Zinto is very community-minded when it comes to our projects and serving our communities and that includes helping care for these animals that bring us joy,” she adds.
The entrance fee is R70 per person including a pledge badge and all of the proceeds will be donated to the SPCA. Supporters are also welcome to bring along any other donations that can be used to provide relief to the cats and dogs – such as eating and drinking bowls, jerseys, toys and grooming products.
