Job description

Overview

This role is comprised of a 75% weighting on marketing focused activities and the remainder on sales initiatives.    

Key roles and responsibilities

Marketing
  • Manage and co-ordinate supplier and agency relationships
  • Packaging design and legislation
  • Build, plan and implement the overall marketing strategy
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Paid Search and PPC
  • Planning, implementing and overseeing Social Media and marketing strategies
  • Optimise content for digital assets – website, social media channels, Adwords, etc.
  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data
  • Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company website and acquire new, qualified leads.
  • Prepare accurate reports on marketing campaigns overall performance.
  • Evaluating competitor's marketing strategies and formulating strategies to stay unique
  • Marketing Budgets
  • Manage global marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with key accounts to increase market share.
PR
  • Media relationships
  • Press releases and writing
  • Ambassador and influencer strategy and relationships
 Sales management
  • Work with the partners of the business to maintain distributor relationships and monitor sales reports
  • Weekly sales management with key accounts, monitor sales and motivate for orders to replenish stock
  • Sales and Merchandising management
  • Training of store staff, sales staff and merchandisers on products
  • Compile and update written and visual training material
  • Sales reporting
  • Sales budgeting
  • Assist in motivating distributors to increase market share
  • Global sales management
  • Manage order fulfilment process
  • Conduct regular trade market visits to gauge the effectiveness of own promotions and evaluate competitor activities


Requirements

Work experience:
  • Five+ years’ experience in the FMCG environment
  • BCom Degree in a related field would be an advantage
  • Proven track record of achieving KPI’s
