Regional Sales Manager (Critical Care & Detailing)
An exciting career opportunity exists in Meyersdal, Gauteng for a Regional Sales Manager (Critical Care & Detailing) within a Pharmaceutical environment. If you have the following behavioural competency and experience, we look forward to receiving your application.
- Life Science/Business degree or diploma
- Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in a Leadership role.
- Sales experience within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or with a leadership role, especially in the Critical Care Division and Private Hospitals Business.
- An evolving understanding of the Pharma industry, which includes competitors and key stake holders.
- Previous experience with data management programs eg. ImpactRX, SSD
- Ability to analyse and interpret the sales data received from external source and to draw an action plan for the business development internally.
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans
- Financial – Budget control
- Customer service
- Manage regions effectively by spending the required time in each territory with sales consultants
- Management of relationships with Key Customers, Opinion Leaders, Wholesalers.
- Effective management of Cycle Strategies and implementation of promotional strategies
- Effective use and distribution of various data to achieve set targets within agreed deadlines (Impact RX, SSD and business review)
- Evaluation of Representatives (infield performance forms, infield coaching forms and KPAs)
- Implementation and management of effective territory strategy for entire region and per territory.
- Daily reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, weekly and Montly Planners, Financial Year End Reports
- Data reporting Systems are in place and correct (SSD) and Impact Rx
- Reporting back to HO at Strategy and Internal Review meetings
- Effective management of sales representative through defining sales and marketing strategy into team goals
- Effective coaching and moulding
- Managing representative infield planners
- Directing and supervising territory management and key customer control
- Managing representative expenses and admin.
- Staff performance is monitored against standards and regular feedback is provided
- Performance discussions are held regularly to identify learning requirements
- Resolve IR issues
- Organizing pharmacy and paramedic training events such as formal pharmacy training sessions.
- To assist where and when required, in promoting the company’s products through organized exhibitions and meetings to demonstrate the benefits of the various products
- Submission of weekly, monthly territory feedback report and work reports to direct line manager
