Do you have a mix of technical, soft and analytical skills? This big boom data role requires you to mine data using complex tools and software and then analyse that data to find trends. Once you connect the dots and spot data trends, you’ll need to effectively communicate your findings to others in the organisation. You’ll also be responsible for suggesting possible solutions to fix issues that you find — especially if they’re tied to revenue loss.

What it takes to apply for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Five years of managerial experience in managing a BI business unit.
  • Microsoft (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, MS-SQL, Azure, PowerBI)
  • Experience in FMCG environment will be an advantage
  • Concise report writing skills that complement the operational needs.
  • Data mining ability and horizontal opportunity identification.
  • Understanding data sources and different transaction applications.
  • Using the smallest fragment of information with the objective of turning it into actionable insight.
What will you be doing:
  • Review and validate customer data as it’s collected.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results.
  • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.
  • Review customer files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilisation.

  • Using their findings from performing research and analysing data, BI analysts create written reports. management can use to monitor the company’s metrics and make decisions.
  • Determining what information, the company needs to collect to answer its business questions.

  • Research and analyse market trends using the internet, news, and business publications, and they sometimes interview stakeholders and professional organisations to get more information directly.
