Job description

  • Deliver on Regional volume and market share targets
  • Rapidly grow the number of independent outlets stocking PURA Soda by producing a target list of outlets, pitching PURA Soda and closing to a final listing
  • Ensure that Customers are called on according to the agreed call cycle so that the required calls are completed each day.
  • Assist in making sure that all key account customers stock the listed PURA Soda range at all times
  • Manage and nurture client relations with PURA Soda outlets and assist/educate PURA Soda distributors, agents and their sales teams to be the best PURA Soda brand sales team
  • Ensure brand and pack availability
  • Ensure necessary action is taken so that customer retention targets are met
  • Ensure stock age is managed so that no outlets are selling expired stock
  • Accountable for all assets (Coolers and other)
  • Identify opportunities to place assets where there is a good ROI or a strategic brand placement opportunity
  • Identify, create and implement ad hoc promotion solutions for targeted venues eg. Meal combos, waiter incentives, merchandiser incentives
  • Assist in the implementation of all national or regional key account promotions
  • PURA Pioneers will be available for assisting all consumer activations (Instore or other) or events
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Keep management informed by submitting all required reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Utilise free stock (Liquid Leverage) and sample stock to generate sales volume and enable Brand building
  • Meticulously submit all required administration, as requested, on time and in full
  • Liaise regularly with our Sales and Merchandising Partners/Distributors
  • Manage the sampling for the territory, via the correct selection of the outlets with the aim of driving sales volume via exposing the Brand to the target Consumers


Requirements

  • Two years of sales experience in beverages or FMCG with credible quality references
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • The ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Prioritising, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma
  • Enthusiastic team member with excellent people skills – ability to connect with and nurture relationships with clients, customers, colleagues, suppliers and service providers
  • Be a hard-working, self-motivated, caring, can-do-will-do worker who can work alone on the road on a daily basis
  • Have excellent sales and business communication skills
  • Own a reliable car and be in possession of a valid driver’s licence
  • Be passionate about life
