Google Ads and Search Engine Optimisation

We are looking for a paid search specialist who will be responsible for managing the optimisation and reporting of paid search campaigns, ensuring exceptional results for our performance-minded clients.

Your role would be to connect our clients to the world of business through the use of Google (Yahoo and Bing as an international client). You need to be analytical, creative and know how to generate ROI for our clients. A critical result for this position is to see what clients’ inbound marketing problems are, and to solve them, by using 80/20 inbound marketing strategies. 

Your day to day work includes working with the different inbound platforms, which include content marketing, Google Adwords, Organic Google search (incl Bing & Yahoo for international clients). In this position, you must have a clear understanding of the client's business and how we can deliver quality leads and business to achieve their goals and ROI.

Key responsibilities include, however not restricted to:

  • Evaluate the results from our marketing efforts for clients, report back to Inbound Manager
  • After evaluation, action the research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Working with our copywriter to develop and manage content, Google Organic, Google Ads and plans that will give our clients the competitive edge, using conversion messaging. For example intent and context copy.
  • Oversee the day to day running of Google ad campaigns with the Inbound Manager where applicable
  • Overseeing the financial media budget ensuring campaigns/suppliers/media owners are delivering on time and within budget. Ensuring campaigns are reaching or exceeding clients expectations regarding performance
  • Provide input and assistance to the CEO/Inbound Manager for all Inbound related strategic decisions
  • Identify client growth opportunities and effectively grow client relationships
  • Attend strategic client meetings and any other meetings that involve critical marketing input for all campaigns
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Updating operating standards with the manager on a daily basis/weekly/monthly, reporting back to the Inbound team when you have updated operating standards
  • Successful performance of campaigns that you are assigned to
  • Champion the development of new/creative ideas, processes or technologies
  • Compliance with deadlines
  • Adwords billing and invoicing
  • Managing and optimising the display & display remarketing campaigns
  • Setting up SEO sitemap via Google Search Console for new client websites
  • Setting up Yoast SEO plugin and optimising for clients’ websites
  • Setting and maintaining in-depth SEO, which includes schema codes & due diligence
  • Set up, review and maintain Google business listings
  • Setting up Search Console and Tag Manager and monitoring it accordingly.
  • Setting up Google analytics for new clients, as well as Google data centre
  • Creating tracking and triggers using Google analytics tag manager, to create and reach goals
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
Requirements you should have:
  • A minimum of 4 solid years within Google Ads and Search Engine Optimisation
  • Post-matric diploma, degree, qualification in marketing communications, media – a plus
  • Experience with managing shopping campaigns
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high work standards
  • SEO experience a must, with additional training if required
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Client service interaction
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Professional and calm demeanour
  • Self-motivated; self-disciplined; self-starter and efficient
  • Proactive; methodical and deadline-driven.
Technologies we use:
  • Strong computer skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Docs, Sheets, etc
  • Know how to use project management tools, i.e Asana, Trello, Teamwork
  • Google Marketing Platforms (Google Analytics, Data Studio, Optimize and Tag Manager)
  • SEO Audits
