Job description

A dynamic tourism company in Cape Town with properties all over the Western Cape is looking to employ a Digital Sales and Marketing Manager. The position is based in Cape Town but the position requires frequent traveling. The person will be in charge of all the digital touch points in the company and will be in charge of developing and implementing trend-setting digital strategies.

The ideal candidate will have four years of digital sales and marketing experience and a marketing degree or similar.

Salary is based on experience.

Marketing campaigns
  • Develop, execute and manage all digital marketing campaigns – email, social media, websites, SEO etc.
  • Custodian of the emailer databases in the company
  • Plan all digital marketing activities and execute within budget
  • Identify trends and technologies and implement to ensure the company stays at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
  • Manage and develop the content marketing strategy
Reporting and analytics
  • Develop and maintain a strong “test and learn” culture
  • Monitor and enhance social media response and conversion rates
  • Monitor and enhance the effectiveness off all digital communications
  • Continually measure and enhance digital analytics
  • Compile and present monthly reports
Storytelling and content
  • Ensure that storytelling is consistent and correct on all digital touch points
Digital touchpoints include:
  • Social Media
  • Websites
  • E-flyers
  • SMS marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and enhance the companies online reputation
Business Development
  • Evaluate each business and write and drive a digital marketing plan for them with the aim to increase digital awareness and sales
  • Identify the target market for each business and ensure the website and other digital platforms “speak” to each user category
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
Management
  • Manage the SEO, SEM, Web development and Social Media teams (101 services)
  • Build a collaborative and productive environment to ensure all relevant teams work together to execute campaigns
