Job description

BIG ideas agency looking for a high-energy, self-motivated and professional Conference Sales Executive to join our team and drive Sponsorship and Exhibition sales for two conferences in the engineering and built environment sector.

What will you do?
  • Drive Conference Sponsorship and Exhibition sales for two key idna clients. 
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon sales’ targets by retaining, growing and prospecting sponsors and exhibitors for the respective conference. 
  • Research and find news leads and contacts for both conferences. 
  • Reporting and projection in collaboration with the Chief Ideas Officer. 
  • Network with clients at both conferences while driving on-site repeat sponsorship and exhibitions. 


Requirements

What will you need?
  • A minimum of three to five years’ sales experience, preferably in the conference sector.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office programmes i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Knowledge about and/or experience in the engineering and built environment sector will be advantageous. 
  • Must have own vehicle and valid drivers licence.
