Job description

We are looking for a high-performing, experienced Sales Team Leader to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. It's a hands-on position that requires people management, performance analysis and quality assurance. Your primary function is to ensure the high performance and smooth running of the sales team whilst building trust and relationships with our customers. You will need to ensure the team stays motivated and productive by meeting/exceeding targets.

Who's on your team

You will report directly to the COO
You will have a small sales team reporting to you
You will work closely with the student services people, operations people and finance team

Who we need you to be and your responsibilities
  • Great team player who likes to collaborate, participate and work in cross-functional teams
  • Have a proven track record of leading a team and achieving targets
  • A passion for collecting and using data to drive sales decisions
  • Did I mention being good at improving existing processes (defining, documenting and implementing improved processes)
  • Ability to manage and grow people
  • Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing the team
  • Performance monitoring and quality assurance of all team members
  • Identify market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Requirements

  • Five years sales management / team leader experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar
  • You must have experience consulting with people, preferably over the phone and email
  • You’ve got to be engaging. If you don’t know what this means, then you’re probably not that engaging
  • You’ve got to be bright with an inquiring mind, yet patient with people who don’t know what you know
  • You’ve got to be able to sit down and get the work done
  • You've got to have a strong business sense
  • You need excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • You’ve got to be able to work hard, really hard. And want to grow. 
Advantageous
  • Know a bit about education, accounting and part-time studying
  • A knack with technology would be great (like defining a system requirement and drafting technology specs)
