Job description

  • The store managers primary task is to promote sales from the shop to all Momentum staff, dept, customers, brokers and partners. This includes promoting and selling of stock from the approved range as well as ADHOC items as required from time to time.
  • The store manager will be required to participate in Briefing or brainstorming session with the relevant customers, as well as make sure that SYNC quotes are given within 24hrs including relevant artwork to the customers as required.
  • The store manager will be held accountable for the total running of the corporate store all reporting functions to head office and client will be the responsibility of the manager.
  • Problem solving and the ability to handle the Pastel accounting package is a pre-requisite.
  • Product knowledge is a pre-requisite . maintaining a professional and positive attitude towards momentum clients and management
  • Making sure goods delivered to the shop by C & R and our suppliers, as well as goods brought in by any of our drivers and/ or internal department, is checked/signed in according to an invoice or delivery note and loaded on the system accordingly. accurate capturing of items received into the pastel module.
  • The invoice/delivery note must then be given to the relevant departments for processing.
  • Make sure that goods are counted and checked according to the relevant purchase orders and or invoices, you need to check quantities supplied :- qty ordered vs. qty supplied product and product code : - product ordered vs. product supp
  • Accountable for the correct loading of a vehicle in relation to the invoice.
  • All discrepancies must be reported to the relevant dept heads before receiving goods.
  • Making sure that goods that are packed up for customers are done so according to our company procedure, i.e. in the correct bags, boxes and that goods are clearly marked and labeled with customer details, contents, qty, no of boxes etc.
  • Check that the inv and that the goods inside the boxes match and that invoice details are correct make sure goods ordered from the shop are dispatched to the correct person/destination with an accurate inv.
  • Courier collections should also be arranged in the same way, it is the shop managers duty to phone the relevant courier and arrange the collection of the goods, the way bills must be filled in correctly and attached to the invoice, once the goods have been collected by the courier the copy of the waybill must be attached to the POD.
  • All invoices must be given back to the accounts dept and signed in.
  • No goods/ orders may be dispatched without the correct invoice, if goods are to be delivered on a delivery note the same procedure will apply as per an invoice
  • All documentation needs to be accounted for and filed for record purposes.
  • Also responsible for returns, administration and merchandising.

  • Experience in the promotions industry
  • Relevant product knowledge
