Job description

Human resources, industrial relations and performance management
  • Develop, review and improve policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Specialist industrial and employee relations skills; representing the company at the CCMA
  • Ensure that managers are well equipped to effectively manage all industrial and employee relations matters such a disciplinary cases, grievances, under-performance and exits
  • Ensuring full HR/IR compliance with all labour related legislation
  • Driving and managing the company’s performance management processes and addressing underperformance fairly
  • Act as a change agent in managing Organisational Change by advising on and assisting management with the implementation of optimal organisational structures
Skills development
  • Aligning skills development plan to annual EE and BBBEE requirements
  • Develop plan and implement training for all staff
  • Annual submission of WSP and ATR
Employment equity and BBBEE
  • Driving and implementing the company’s transformation agenda
  • Annual submission of EE Report
  • Planning, implementation and management of annual BBBEE plan and optimization of all elements of BBBEE scorecard
Audit and control
  • Monthly payroll administration using VIP Payroll
  • Quarterly incentive and annual bonus calculations and payments  
  • Payroll reconciliations and balancing VIP Payroll vs Pastel Accounting
Recruitment and selection
  • Maintain an effective recruitment and retention strategy
  • Resourcing and staffing
IT and systems management
  • Management of entire IT function including budgeting, planning and management
  • Research into new technologies and keeping abreast of changes
  • Efficient asset management system in place
  • Management of data protection and redundancy processes
Office and project management
  • Management of Office and Facilities staff and all related functions
  • Planning and implementation of refurbishing and renovations projects


Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in a senior HR position
  • Proficient in VIP Payroll 
  • IT/Systems experience advantageous 
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Organised and systems orientated
