Job description

We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded chief operating officer to ensure our production and operations run smoothly enabling us to achieve our goal of being a global brand!
You will be responsible for stock control, procurement, and production schedules. You will manage a core team of packers, warehouse staff, QC members and dispatch staff who together with the administration team ensure product is available on time at lowest cost with highest efficiencies.
Simply your role will be to manage the operations of the business end-to-end.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop and manage monthly, annual management accounts, budgets and cost controls working closely with the Accountant and Financial Director
• Manage cash flows on a weekly basis
• Raw material stock management and advisory to production manager on re-stocking levels
• Finished goods stock management and advisory to production manager on production schedules and stock levels required
• Managing export stock demands ensuring international warehouses have enough stock (weekly monitoring of stock levels and future projections of stock with 5 months stock lead time)
• International logistics services (procuring, monitoring, and tracking international shipments of stock)
• New product costings, production, and development
• Food Health & Safety Management
• Sales analysis and feedback to EXCO and sales team on performance.
• Reporting to Board on all commercial, financial and operational aspects of the business

Key skills:
• Proficient in excel with strong analytical abilities
• Project Management
• Production Management
• Knowledge and experience with FSSSC 22000 Food Safety
• Knowledge on Sage / Evolution (or Dear / Xero)
• Understanding of logistics (shipping terminology, ability to configure space requirements)
• Understanding of management accounting and budgeting
• Strong people skills and ability to manage diverse team

Qualifications and experience:
• Minimum BCom Honours or similar in production management, project management, business administration, procurement and logistics (supply chain management), and/or accounting.
• 3 years' experience in manufacturing or production ideally in FMCG environment.
• Proven ability to manage diverse team, develop budgets and manage cash flows.
• Strong communications skills.
