This is an opportunity to join the marketing team of a leading pet care retail company where you will play a key role in managing copy and content across various channels and platforms, as well as provide ongoing support to the marketing in this regard. You would be joining a very ambitious, highly productive team with very high standards and a great deal of passion and energy for the work that they do.
This position requires a candidate with strong planning/coordinating, communication and writing skills, with a good understanding of product and marketing content and the role it plays in a retail organisation.
You will report to the marketing manager, but liaise with various individuals and departments in the company, as well as external stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities:
Plan and manage content for social media platforms:
- Plan and manage the social media schedule
- Manage and implement the social media content across all platforms for two brands (includes all types of content)
- Manage and coordinate social media influencers
- Work with the graphic designer for creative elements
- Manage and implement social media adverts across Facebook and Instagram
Monitor, coordinate and manage content for website:
- Handle website product content from preparation to implementation (coordinate with various stakeholders: graphic designer, product photographer, product team)
- Monitor imagery and design elements
- Review, edit and write product copy ensuring it is accurate, up to date and relevant
- Applies to three websites
Copywriting and proofreading:
- Write, edit and proofread copy for social media, product packaging, websites, newsletters, blogs/articles, brochures
- Ensuring the brand language, tone and style is adhered to across all platforms and marketing material
Overall management and monitoring of online presence:
- Manage Google MyBusiness listings
- Manage and monitor our brand content and copy on shopping centre websites and social media pages
- Ensuring bios and company profiles are up to date across all platforms
Experience and qualification:- Tertiary qualification in marketing/copywriting or similar
- Minimum two years full-time working experience in a similar role
- Writing experience (social media, product copy, web copy, short articles)
- Experience with Microsoft office – Word, Excel, PPT
- Experience with Facebook, Instagram, web platforms, GoogleMybusiness and Mailchimp,
- Some experience with or exposure to graphic design is beneficial
