Requirements:
  • Tertiary education: marketing/advertising diploma
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of working experience in social/digital marketing
  • Experience in managing content across all social networks
  • Exceptional communication and grammar skills, both written and spoken
  • In-depth knowledge of digital and social media monitoring tools: e.g. Brands Eye, Crimson Hexagon, Meltwater and/or other listening tools
  • Driven to set and achieve ambitious KPIs and measure ROI
  • A global understanding of the digital landscape to include lead generation for e-comm, CRM and Social Community to grow brand and drive sales conversion
  • A strong understanding of brands and the sports apparel and footwear industry
Responsibilities:

Strategy and planning
  • Alongside the marketing team, drive the creation, conception and presentation of social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns for UA
  • Ensure thought-leadership in digital to drive the conversation and behaviour through the business, closely integrating all channels
  • Take responsibility ownership of the digital footprint of the brand in SA
  • CRM knowledge and understanding
  • Assist with preparation for integration with E-commerce
Community Management
  • Liaise with internal product teams for content and customer service
  • Create and maintain content plans, including writing posts, and publishing relevant content to manage and optimize social pages
  • Review user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
  • Respond to comments, when appropriate, to build positive communities and add value to users’ experience of our brand
  • Enforce social media guidelines defined by the brand and elevate internal understanding
  • Escalate user-generated content, where appropriate, to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure immersed and seamless brand tone
  • Use analytics and/or social listening tools to generate insights to create actionable reports that lead to optimization
  • Monitor for emerging crises and opportunities for agile content
  • Database growth and management
Campaign planning and implementation
  • Assist with the planning and execution of web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Work with influencers, brand athletes and 3rd party digital communities to maximise opportunities
  • Partner with teams through the content creation process, contributing with ideas and assuring alignment to the strategic direction
  • Plan and manage the third party digital and social assets and campaigns
  • Management of digital communication channels such as newsletters, SMS, WhatsApp etc
  • Co-ordination with the digital agency to ensure a seamless, leveraged digital footprint
Reporting and digital intelligence
  • Use analytics and/or social listening tools to generate insights to create actionable reports that lead to optimization
  • Monthly reports for both local business and global brand feedback
  • Basic budget and cost analysis and management
