Paid Media Specialist - E-commerce

Purpose of role and responsibilities:
  • Drive the growth of e-commerce sales
  • Execute paid media campaigns
  • Manage the campaigns to deliver ROI/ROA to the business
  • Review campaign performance against ad spend efficiency
  • Online analytics and reporting
  • Compile, issue and present the required, weekly and monthly campaign performance reports
  • Continuously analyse performance and report back to the digital sales divisions with recommendations for improvement
  • Online content integrity and quality assurance
  • Ensure all appropriate checks are completed by the relevant individuals to maintain full content integrity across all platforms
  • Competitor and external analysis
  • Monitor and analyse the market (local and international) to identify threats and opportunities
Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in marketing, digital marketing, advertising, communications or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Google Marketing Platform and Google Analytics
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in an e-commerce role running large scale campaigns and managing large budgets, specifically within a retail environment
  • Experience in mobile commerce
  • Deep understanding of South African and international e-commerce market
  • Strong quantitative analytical expertise
  • Strong web analytics knowledge
Paid Search - Google and Microsoft advertising
  • Campaign Management and budget reporting on ROI/ROA
  • Display/search/dynamic ads
  • Shopping/e-commerce
  • SM Marketing platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Remarketing per platform
  • Creation of TOF, MOF and BOF events and campaigns
  • Strategic planning of Facebook and Instagram sales funnels and customer journey i.e. key products, collections and offers to promote
  • Creating upsells and downsells within product catalogues
  • Creation of multiple highly-targeted and custom audiences which are qualified to our products
  • Creation of relevant lookalike audiences
  • Creation of multiple custom conversion events
  • Impactful, resonant brand positioning through ad text
  • Split testing of ad creatives against text, placement and media format
