Giltedge is an award-winning travel company based in Tokai, Cape Town, proudly South African and created back in 2001. Our mission is to create life-changing travel experiences as responsible destination experts by offering value with integrity, creativity and flexibility.

The marketing and digital team is growing rapidly within the group but remains a small tight-knit team of passionate marketers who love nothing more than travel.

The Giltedge marketing team is looking for a temporary group content manager for a six-month placement.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Create a unique content strategy and publishing plan (weekly/monthly) for each relevant platform
  • Writing copy for marketing communications including adverts, emails, blog posts, printed collateral, internal newsletters etc.
  • Managing, reviewing, scheduling and editing content for all marketing communications as per brand guidelines and set content deliverables
  • Managing internal copywriter along with external freelance resources
  • Managing the websites (changes, new functionalities, bugs etc.) and overall SEO optimisation
  • Participating in setting up and refining marketing strategy/plans for each of the Giltedge brands
  • Compile monthly content performance reports based on analytics
  • Ensure that set KPIs are met

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in copywriting for the travel industry
  • Minimum of three years’ digital marketing experience
  • Competent with Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • A team player who is proactive and takes initiative
  • Excellent time management
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana, Trello or will be highly regarded
  • Good understanding of SEO and experience in WordPress essential
