HR Administrator

Job description

  • Record keeping - responsible for the accuracy and upkeep of employee files and other HR documentation, such as leave, training and disciplinary records, processes all change applications.
  • Staff movement administration – prepares starter packs and completes HR induction of new employees, prepares termination paperwork and certificates of service.
  • Leave administration – processes and completes all leave applications, monthly leave reports and leave audits.
  • Training and development – Process and records all training documentation
  • Administrative support for various HR projects such as training, organising venues, invites, catering, training packs, payments, stationary ordering.
  • Advises staff on policy matters such as leave and other related queries.
  • Ensures that all necessary HR documentation is received by payroll for processing, within agreed time frames. Updates the SimplePay of all necessary changes before payroll cut off of every month.
  • Collates and prepares reports as and when required.
  • Recruitment and Selection - Compiles job descriptions and completes reference checking.
  • Labour Relations – Assists in the preparation of all relevant paperwork, minute taking in disciplinary and incapacity hearings and ensures that employee files are updated with relevant information.

 

Requirements

  • At least two years’ experience in an administrative role. Previous experience in an HR environment is essential.
  • Either obtained or studying towards a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, SimplePay advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of labour legislation
  • Willingness to learn
