Background to Posterscope

Posterscope is the world's leading Out-of-Home Communications agency.

Role Purpose:

  • Manage business operations of Posterscope SA in line with Dentsu Aegis Network group objectives, including delivering on budgeted P&L
  • Financial understanding and support to Posterscope FM and DAN SSA Group Finance team
  • Drive new business growth opportunities through new and organic growth
  • Continue to drive the Location Expert promise through the optimisation and diversification of the Posterscope business and revenues, in line with global brand positioning.
  • Manage the full P&L of the business across both offices with the support of the General Manager Cape Town.
  • Support and grow Posterscope SA staff, with the focus on Johannesburg staff
  • Support DAN SSA Group on pitches in conjunction with the General Manager Cape Town
  • Understanding of SSA function and in conjunction with the General Manager Cape Town
  • Ensure that all OOH strategies and media plans are data led and developed using Posterscope’s bespoke tools and methodologies
  • Ensure that all OOH strategies and media plans are strategic and insight driven and meet the client’s business challenge
  • Liaise and build relationships with media owners, print and data partners to ensure clients receive the best opportunities, rates and strategic OOH solutions
  • Liaise and build client relationships to drive business growth
  • Ensure all clients relationships are strategically led
  • Contribute to driving sector Innovation and Thought-Leadership
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of new tools, systems and partnerships to ensure that Posterscope remains relevant in the digital economy
  • Liaise with International offices when required – Posterscope and DAN SS
Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and responsibilities
  • Consistent operational support to DAN SA CEO
  • Delivery against annual budgeted P&L
  • Consistent development and management of staff and capabilities
  • Accurate Financial understanding and reporting
  • Accurate overview and control of new business targets and achievements
  • Develop and manage new business pipeline
  • Develop and manage diversified revenue streams
  • Able to provide clients with effective OOH strategies and recommendations
  • Work is done timeously and accurately
  • Relationships with clients and agencies are strong
  • Relationships with staff are strong
  • Relationships with media owners are strong
  • Able to work well in a team (DAN group management, PS employee, clients, agencies and media planners from outside the company) – alignment with Group Values and Culture

Requirements

  • Preferably tertiary education with post-graduate degree or diploma in field of Marketing, Business and/or Sales Management
  • Minimum five years of OOH media industry experience, with a track record of new business and staff development.
  • Experience in managing key client relationships
  • Experience in managing diverse teams across multiple locations
  • Experience in driving and delivery of new business within the media industry
  • Understanding of location data and location based mobile applications
  • Understanding of digital and print production process
  • Experience in management of media owner relationships
