We have a couple of positions available within our L&D team. Instructional Designer & Graphic Multi Media Designer positions based fulltime in JHB. The working environment is fast pace and the team are creative and fluid. We are looking for an individual that has an entrepreneurial mind set and has the ability to self-manage and run with projects on their own.

Instructional Designer Post:
Instructional Designer will assume responsibility for the design and development of learning and practicing experiences that close the gap. The aim is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner to improve the employee productivity and value and enhancement of self-directed learning. The individual must have the ability to figure out new ways of doing things, have excellent content writing skills, ability to think logically with process when Storyboarding and have experience in either Captivate or Articulate Storyline.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders

Qualifications and Essential Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Captivate or Articulate Storyline – Must
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts

Graphic Designer/ Multi Media Post:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting storyboards into functional, well designed elearning, communications material, Programme design and Creative digital solutions. The individual must have a corporate understanding of learning & development and communications. The work demands creative flair and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
  • A flexible approach when working in a team
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs
  • Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
