Job description

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the team, taking responsibility for all Planning & administrative tasks within the team to ensure campaigns run smoothly as planned. The purpose of the role is to deliver day to day media planning be the key support to the Account Manager.

Key accountabilities

• Ensures all relevant required information has been received from key stakeholders (e.g. Account Mangers and Strategist & Media Buyers).
• Understands digital media campaigns & digital media so that you can coordinate with the media buyers to book media campaigns onto company systems and the importance of this.
• Updating and monitoring of digital media schedules
• Actualisation of media schedules
• Reckoning against planned vs actual
• Reckoning Invoiced against media schedules
• Sending through creative chase list
• Liaising with Ad Operations to ensure all tracking and tagging is implanted and set up
• Tracking of PO and basic finance
• Able to track and monitor client campaigns with campaign managers
• Builds relationships with Media Owners
• Monitors and provides reports about campaign performance and delivery
• Can make basic recommendations to Account Manager to help improve campaign efficiencies
• Assess plans with ROI in mind
• Negotiating the best price, quality and placement of advertisements keeping up to date with fluctuations in popularity ratings and developments in the industry
• Daily management of projects and account handling
• Reporting on project status, workloads and accounts
• Providing timely communication between relevant departments including digital, accounts, clients and creative
• Managing daily schedules
• Overseeing project resources and assisting with the management of freelance requirements and bookings
• Analysing campaign data
• Holding regular internal meetings and status updates with implementation teams
• Leading and coordinating campaigns from initial stages through to delivery
• Ensuring the stages of the project are met according to client and creative brief, budget, resource and deadline deliverables
• Monitoring current traffic processes and inputting ideas on how to improve current practices where required
• Analysing campaigns to report on visitor data and user experience
• Managing campaign resources and updating key stakeholders on requirements and supply
• Working across multiple projects and ensuring all parties are informed of progress and problems
• Building effective relationships with key departments and clients

Requirements

• Matric and Postgraduate Education in Media or a related qualification
• Three+ years in media planning
• A history of understanding digital media terminology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,etc)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
• Working well under pressure
• Good numerical and data management skills
• Effective organisational abilities
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of information
• Decisiveness
