Job description

Focus of this position to sell and develop platforms for the following properties – various sponsorship properties, which will include sport properties, lifestyle properties, broadcast properties and special events, as well as in stadium advertising space. Ensures consistent, profitable business growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management. Will be responsible for seeking new business and maintaining the relationship with existing clients. 

  • Extensive client relationship management across all levels within the external environment – specific focus on senior strategic individuals
  • Creating lead generation platforms into qualified sales
  • Transform leads into qualified sales and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients with a view to maximizing business opportunities.
  • Engaging external stakeholders with a business development intent
  • Identification of business opportunities in line with business core focus areas with a revenue growth as the fundamental undertone
  • Generation of Weekly Client Visitation Report and Status reports
  • Sales Project Management of a specific product offering
  • Weekly Market summation report – through client visitations
  • Scientific sales forecasting for specific product offering
  • Negotiating price elements with prospective clients
  • Identifying innovative sales platforms/techniques
  • Managing client expectations to ensure client retention
  • Implementation of client retention strategies
  • Expansion of existing client databases
  • Managing internal relationships to ensure delivery of client expectations


Requirements

  • Minimal 4 years proven sales track record
  • Be willing to work under pressured environment
  • Ability to meet quarterly targets
  • Must have exceptional client relationship skills
  • Self-motivated – challenge oneself by setting high targets for work deliverable regardless of the amount of supervision offered
  • Sound judgement – comfortable in ability and knowledge to make the right decision
  • Team player – work constructively within a team to bring out the best traits of all
  • Excellent presentation and communication skill at senior level
  • Corporate contacts and relationships
  • Understanding of the dynamics of sport and entertainment with emphasis on South African football, rugby, cricket and music
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Passionate and energetic implementer
