We are looking for a dynamic and talented graphic designer to join our regional design team, servicing our shopping centre portfolio design and production requirements. Experience in traditional design, production, traffic management, digital and interactive design is essential.

As the Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Designer with producing and overseeing all digital, social and print creative solutions to address the marketing needs for the region. The position requires in-depth knowledge of graphic design, design styles and layout techniques as well as experience in executing marketing projects from conception to production, including websites, digital platforms, social media, in-house stationery and all marketing collateral.

Candidates will be assessed based on their portfolios, previous experience, passion for design, relevant skillset, conceptual, technical and maintenance experience and fit with the team.

Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in related field
  • Minimum three years' industry experience – Agency/Brand
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
  • Apple Mac Proficient
  • Knowledge in After Effects
  • Knowledge of the implementation of design in HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge in MailChimp/other marketing automation programmes
  • A natural sense for aesthetics and a strong passion for design
  • A methodical and precise approach to work and an ability to work around tight deadlines
  • An openness to feedback from colleagues and high levels of self-motivation
  • An interest in the latest digital and design trends, industry developments and tools
  • Web design (brochure, CMS, and e-commerce)
  • Campaign design (social media and communication campaigns)
  • Content design (banners, infographics and illustration)
  • Print design (CI and branding)
  • Skills and experience in production and pre-press
Responsibilities:

Creative
  • Crafting concepts with the support of the Senior Designer and marketing teams
  • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, animation or other digital formats as required
  • Maintaining high standards of work and taking direction to ensure brand standards are consistent throughout all marketing projects
  • Meticulous attention to detail and checking of work before delivering final product
  • Ability to take a project/brief from concept to final execution
  • Assist with brand photographic shoots as required
  • Stay up-to-date with digital trends, industry developments and tools
  • Assist with digital form building/direct mails/mobile platform campaign forms etc.
  • Liaise with the Senior Designer, Marketing Managers, Social Media Manager, Event Manager, Digital Manager and marketing teams to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with other marketing objectives as and when required to contribute to the general team’s primary objectives – assist with events, promotions, launches, activations as requested
 Admin
  • Correct filing and archiving of creative work weekly
  • Assist with compiling quotations and sending out orders to print suppliers
  • Assist with maintaining monthly budgets
  • Sourcing stock imagery and maintaining the corporate visual libraries
  • Production Schedules, Trello task tracking, Project management
Advantageous
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, 2D/3D animation, SLR photography and video editing
