About the roleWe are looking for a driven Project Manager to join our team on-site at our George office. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, working closely with our software development team, senior leadership, and key stakeholders across our Australasian business.

As part of a team that supports an Australasian business, this role requires an early start to the working day to ensure sufficient overlap with our colleagues and clients across Australia. The standard start time for this role is
05:00, after which you have the rest of your day ahead of you to enjoy everything the Garden Route has to offer.
Key responsibilitiesProject planning and delivery- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Create, maintain, and track detailed project plans, schedules, and progress reports throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within resource budget.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
- Manage changes by developing practical implementation plans and communicating them effectively.
- Perform ongoing risk management to identify, assess, and minimise project risks before they escalate.
Team leadership and collaboration- Lead, guide, and motivate the software team, resolving internal conflicts and fostering a collaborative, transparent working environment.
- Manage day-to-day team activities to keep projects on track and resources appropriately allocated.
- Conduct regular team meetings, troubleshoot technical issues, and facilitate the deployment of software upgrades.
- Delegate technical support and production issues to the most suitable resource and manage resolution effectively.
- Apply relevant project management methodologies to improve team productivity, communication, and client satisfaction.
Stakeholder management- Manage relationships with all stakeholders, providing timely, accurate, and proactive feedback.
- Ensure communication between stakeholders and developers is efficient, clear, and free of unnecessary delays.
- Manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle with honesty and transparency.
- Report and escalate critical issues to management promptly.
Quality, reporting and continuous improvement- Measure project performance using appropriate tools, systems, and techniques.
- Ensure the work tracking system (DevOps) is kept up to date at all times.
- Standardise and consistently apply internal and external reporting mechanisms for projects and productivity.
- Ensure system releases are frequent, efficient, and error-free.
- Continuously monitor team support load and project bugs, driving improvements to reduce and eliminate recurring issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive, audit-ready project documentation.
- Assess project issues and identify practical solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.

Requirements: - Grade 12 / national senior ecrtificate.

Bonus skills- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent).
- Experience working in an insurance, financial services, or regulated industry environment.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project tracking and delivery tools.
- Experience managing both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to software development lifecycles (SDLC) and working alongside technical development teams.
- Experience working across multiple time zones or in a cross-border team environment.
- Familiarity with change management principles and stakeholder communication frameworks.
