Job description

Our Partner creates, delivers and manages powerful training solutions for our clients. Their mission is to partner with HR, L and D and business leaders, to help them develop training solutions that give their teams the skills they need to thrive! They work with clients across various industries, and is an accredited training provider with the Services Seta. Our partner is a female, black and queer-owned small business.

They seek to appoint an L and D Intern to join their team. The role would be suited to a individual with an undergraduate degree in Humanities, who has a strong interest in specializing in the training/learning and development portfolio within Human Resources.  It is very important to understand that this role will involve you working independently on course design / writing assignments every day. You will have minimal interaction with others (1 hour per day on average), and so this role is suited to an individual who enjoys working independently and is naturally goal-orientated and focused.

As an L and D Intern, you will receive training and support to complete the functions listed below which form part of your key responsibilities. 
  • Conduct research and interpret, collate and present research findings
  • Develop training outlines, training materials and assessments
  • Editing, proofreading and formatting of training documents
  • Support the implementation of the assessment process
  • Assist facilitators during training sessions
  • Meet with learners on our programmes to provide programme support when needed
  • Interpret programme evaluation data to revise or recommend changes
  • Maintain project documentation.

  • You are a real go-getter, with a positive attitude and a hunger for achievement
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, but you are willing to ask for help, roll up your sleeves and figure it out
  • Since we work fully remote, an essential requirement will be that you have evidence of a strong, reliable Wi-Fi internet connection as well as a space where you will be able to work from in a focused manner
  • You must be based in Cape Town and surroundings as we will meet in person on an ad hoc basis when required
