Hi Jay, good analysis. However, I think that the dynamics are shifting a bit. There are numerous examples of bigger global brands opting to stick with the celebrities / influencers. We have seen the likes of Nike standing by Colin Kaepernick ( after he took the he "took knee" during the US national anthem and revoked by POTUS =. Nike went as far as doing the 'Dream Crazy' advert starring Kaepernick, which won an Emmy award. At late, the #bringbackKatlego online petition gaining momentum (so far 500,000 signatures just in two days of the campaign) with fans literally demanding both the SABC and Outsurance to reconsider their decisions and return Kat back on air and return the ads.
I'm confused. Do Outsurance really think that the public assume everyone in their ads are squeeky clean? It would show a lot more positive elements about Outsurance's values if they reinstated Katlego and show resolve and forgiveness as MOST people in SA do. We don't just QUIT on each other. This is not something they should even be involved in anyway, it was just the disgruntled girlfriend that decided to shame the poor man publically. We do not know the whole story nor should we. She and her family could simply claim anything about KM and the public would have believed it. Their "5mins of fame" using Katlego's name is here, so they are abusing it totally! It's simply a private matter between them and indeed also their cute little boy. If she wanted to leave Katlego and claim alimony for having his kid, she should have just done it without shooting herself in the foot by TRYING to tank his career! Katlego is much stronger than this! He will come back even stronger than before and here is a pre-emptive CONGRATS to the brands making the great decision to take him on in the future! PS: Outsurance would probably JUMP onto the chance to have Kim Kardashian as a brand ambassador IF they could afford her... Remember how she got famous? SEX TAPE!! :-)
His wife or girlfriend shouldn't throw their private stuff in the open.... You need to judge her. She didn't think about her actions. Or maybe she wanted his reputation ruin... Don't blame his employers.... See what happens with the hair add at Clicks....they remove the brand from their shelves... His employers just did the same.... Not everyone reason like you.... Everyone is replaceable....
Its got nothing to do with his personal life, thats his job and respect people's personal life, you cant hold him accountable for the situation he is in, im cancelling all my policies and telling all my family to cancel theres as well
So interventions require monitoring, which translates into routine data collection for measurable indicators, data management, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization and report-writing - and impact evaluation in the event of at-hand baseline data, the latter collected before commencement of the intervention, and which is often neglected.
Nobody is exempt from morals and values. His behavior tarnished his reputation and ruined his career. It’s not the first time it’s happened and it won’t be the last. To those who what to threaten outsurance, you should examine your own morals and values!!
So what makes it a scheme? The fact that people are earning more interest than what they would if their money was invested in the bank!? You can’t see what the bank does with our money, but we trust their scheme
Outsurence must learn to stay out of people's private busnesses. They are at the point where they can loose customers by firing Katlego or by keeping him. They should have not involved themselves from the get go. We are watching this closely, we will de-campaign this company and cancel our policies if it pokes its nose on private busnesses of people.
Good Morning, kindly note that the municipality determine the tariffs at which they charge. The winter tariffs are on a higher tariff as users tend to use more electricity during winter times. This is implemented by some municipalities to encourage users to use less electricity.Regards Gené Williams, Team leader @ Prepaid24
