#AfricaMonth: Helping entrepreneurs to innovate and grow
Inspiring for entrepreneurs. Well done Innocircle. We especially liked the quote "...if something blocks one route, find another. Never give up." Like Winston Churchill's famous quote "Never, never, never give up." -- Startups also need encouragement and reminders. Thanks for the article.

How I applied for a job that didn't exist
I like it, along with your process, you give us your Purpose (the why and goal). Formulae can often get you stuck, but your drive & purpose will always bring you before princes :-)Also, I was relieved to leave my cubicle with rules that didn't understand that email marketing is a thing. Not writing is synonymous to holding my breath, can only do it for so long - for me anyway. you :-)

Andrew Jennings on surviving the era of digital retail
Your staff are your customers too. Old people are also good - they have a history, experience and knowledge. The powers that be need to live their brand as well. Often employees have no clue what their culture is as it has not been explained to them.

World's first automated business intelligence engines that offer on-demand marketing
Brilliant! I am so sick of samples being handed out and used by people without a care in the world. Then there is a environmental damage. This is so much cleverer.

Ugly veg: supermarkets aren't the biggest food wasters - you are
A South African food waste voluntary agreement is currently being developed, for a proposed launch later this year. It is being co-led by the Consumer Goods Council of South Africa, and the Department of Trade & Industry (Department of Agri-Processing). One of the key components of the voluntary agreement will be to better understand where and why food loss and waste occurs in South Africa. It will be interesting to see how 'ugly' fruit and vegetables emerge in this research.

More transparency in the chicken industry - court action suspended
This is such nonsense. What bumper profits? I saw an article the other day that showed Astral's profits decline by something like 70%. Tariffs don't affect local producers, so how will the price of local chicken increase? This is clearly nothing more than PR spin by AMIE who want to wreck SA industry to they can line their pockets by getting into bed with cheap imports.

Olymp Trade: an easy way to earn money on financial markets for beginners and professionals
The possibilities of the platform are actually limitless. There is a multiplier X200, which gives your trading a bigger scale and allows traders to trade not only with their budget. There is an economic calendar, which is indispensable when trading on the news. In Forex there is no spread. You can trade pips.

To be or not to be: In writing
It would seem the Commissioner overstepped the bounds of his/her jurisdiction in this matter. The dispute was about the dismissal, and by reasoning the Commissioner seem to have assumed the interpretation and application of the LRA. I might be misguided but it seems the Commissioner has overstepped his powers on this one, unless in determining the true nature of the dispute the Commissioner had discerned that the real dispute was about interpretation and application of Section 198B not dismissal.

Neighbouring building plans ruining your scenery? What the ConCourt has to say
As an ex BCO, I have long held the view which has been upheld by this judgement and am delighted that this has come to pass. All to often the approval of building plans is relegated to a deemed-to-satisfy, box-ticking exercise. It is also my view that the appointment of the BCO by a local authority cannot be taken lightly and as far as the Metro Councils are concerned, the qualification of that individual should not simply be to meet the requirement of Section A16 of the Regulations, but to be commensurate with the complexity of the City in question.

Are agreements in restraint of trade enforceable?
What if I join Public sector , resigned from private sector and applied to a position of which I was doing at the private sector, is that still competitors?

Food Lover's Market launches Hunger Month campaign
Oh Dear . As a community organization ,with a mission to create jobs in the poor communities that surround their Tokai branch ,I am very disappointed the way we were treated by their CSI Manager , Kate Marais .She invited me to a meeting at their Tokai Branch ,where she asked me to create large upcycled wooden crates ,where customers can deposit their tinned food gifts for the poor.this was to be for all their branches .Yes 71 big crates .We were so excited at the propect of creating inocmes for the poor in the Steenberg ,Lavender Hill as well as for those living in the surrounding informal settlements. The truth be told. She never ever got back to me.Not even an explanation .Just discarded us as they do their waste.Perhaps that's all we are to Food Lovers ,waste. For the record ,I am an award winning Social Entrepreneur and Social Innovator. In 2018 my project made the Chivas $ Million Venture SA finals and we also won a Seed award at the SAB Foundation Social Innovation Awards 2018 .On May the 18th ,I fly to London as a guest of the British Council (whose patron is the Queen of England) to attend their DICE Collaboration Conference ,where i also have been invited to share my Social Enterprise journey and then return back to SA to host a four day conference on how up-cycling waste can produce incomes and create jobs.I am considering using this speaking opportunity to describe my encounter with Food lovers as one of the ultimate lows on my Social entrepreneur journey.Paul TalliardFounder - Hands of Honour (NPO 086/155)Creator - African ECD Classroom on Wheels
